In a Creative Theatrical Showcase… AASTMT President Attends the Graduation Projects of the College of Language and Communication at the Smart Village Campus
Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), inaugurated the creative theatrical showcase through which the College of Language and Communication at the Smart Village Campus presented the graduation projects of students from the Media and Language & Translation departments. The innovative academic experience brought together the students’ projects within a unified theatrical performance, reflecting their creativity, academic excellence, and professional capabilities.
Professor Yasser El-Shamy, Dean of the College of Language and Communication at the Smart Village Campus, affirmed the College’s commitment to providing an integrated educational experience that combines academic excellence, practical application, and creativity. He noted that the showcase reflected the dedicated efforts of the faculty members and teaching assistants, as well as the students’ outstanding capabilities in preparing for today’s competitive job market.
The celebration was attended by a distinguished group of media leaders, industry professionals, and academics, including Dr. Amr El-Leithy, President of the Union of OIC Broadcasting Organizations; Dr. Ashraf Zaki, President of the Egyptian Actors Syndicate; Mr. Alaa El-Kahky, Chairman of Al-Nahar TV Network; Eng. Hossam Saleh, Chief Business Officer of United Media Services; Prof. Azza Ahmed Heikal, Media Advisor to the President of AASTMT; Eng. Ahmed El-Assar, media professional and Technical Advisor to the Federation of Small and Medium Enterprises Investors; Director Amr Abdeen, Head of Nile Drama Channel; Mr. Amr El-Kahky, Head of Digital Assets, Distribution and Digital Transformation Strategy at Al-Nahar Network; Mr. Mostafa Metwally, Chairman of Pulse Production; and Dr. Michael El-Nemeis Fawzy, Consultant Psychiatrist and Trainer at the Egyptian Psychiatry Fellowship Program, in addition to the Academy’s deans, faculty members, and the graduates’ families, who joined in celebrating this special occasion.
The ceremony was presented by Mrs. Dalia Wafky, presenter at Egyptian Television, who hosted and led the event’s various segments, including the theatrical showcase and the distinguished guests’ addresses.
The theatrical showcase presented the graduation projects through a unified dramatic narrative, taking the audience on a journey through documentary drama, integrated media campaigns.
During the celebration, Malak Zahir, a graduate of the college, delivered a message to the graduating students, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence, pursue their ambitions, and view graduation as the beginning of a new journey toward success.
The distinguished guests praised the outstanding quality of the projects, describing the showcase as an innovative approach to presenting graduation projects that successfully combined academic excellence with artistic creativity while reflecting the high standard of education offered by the College.
Professor Ismail Abdel Ghaffar commended the exceptional quality of the graduation projects, emphasizing that they reflect the excellence of education at AASTMT and the success of the College of Language and Communication in preparing graduates equipped with knowledge, creativity, and professional skills capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the media industry.
The event also featured the screening of a short documentary highlighting the Academy’s ceremony honoring H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, entitled “Honoring a Lifetime of Giving.”
The celebration ended with a commemorative group photograph bringing together the President of the Academy, distinguished guests, faculty members, and graduating students, marking a proud celebration of the
