The Alexandria National Museum Celebrates its 21st Anniversary
On the occasion of the 21st anniversary of its opening on August 31st, 2003, the Alexandria National Museum opened a temporary archival exhibition entitled .”Memories of a Museu
The exhibition displays a collection of museum archival photos and media news covering its opening in 2003 in Egyptian and Arab newspapers, a record of dedications from distinguished visitors, and samples of writings and opinion pieces from its visitors.
The museum also hosted the closing ceremony of the annual project “Tedex Raml Station” under the title “Green Entrepreneurship”, in addition to displaying the museum’s projects that’s being carried out to transform the museum into an eco-friendly institution.
The museum is a unique architectural masterpiece, and was originally a palace for Asaad Basili Pasha, who resided in it until 1954, then it was converted into a museum in 2003, to include a distinguished collection of artifacts from various Egyptianhistorical periods.
