The Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities illuminated the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx for two hours to mark World Tourism Day, celebrated annually on September 27th.
This year’s slogan, “Tourism and Peace,” was highlighted through the iconic lighting, symbolizing a message of peace from Egypt’s Giza Pyramids, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last surviving wonder of the ancient world.
The initiative was carried out under the directives of Minister Sherif Fathy, emphasizing Egypt’s commitment to global peace through tourism.
