The Faculty of Fine Arts in Zamalek at Capital University offers the Sustainable Architectural and Urban Design (SAUD) Program, which provides students with the opportunity to study architecture in English and specialize in the field from the beginning of their enrollment. The program follows a structured academic pathway that combines architectural and urban design, sustainability, technology, and sustainable development goals.

The program aims to prepare qualified graduates for diverse careers in architecture and urban design, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to address contemporary environmental and urban challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future.
The program’s duration is five years and can be completed in four years in accordance according to the bylaws and regulations, allowing students to study architecture through a clear and specialized academic pathway.
The curriculum focuses on contemporary topics, including energy, water, climate, quality of life, and sustainable cities. Students engage in academic courses, practical projects, design studios, and workshops, in addition to training opportunities and local and international collaborations with universities and institutions.
The program also provides students with opportunities to participate in research projects and initiatives related to sustainability and urban development, enhancing their innovative capabilities and connecting academic learning with practical applications.
Graduates of the SAUD Program are prepared to pursue careers in various fields of architecture, as well as sustainable urban design, energy efficiency, environmental and climate-responsive design, environmental consultancy, sustainable planning, and the management and development of urban projects, alongside numerous
