UNVEILING NEW DETAILS OF THE SCIENCE AT ESNA Tampel OF Luxor
The joint Egyptian-German archaeological mission has uncovered new scene details on the walls and columns of Esna Temple during their restoration work.
The newly revealed details include intricate designs of the clothing worn by the king and the deities, along with their crowns and thrones. One scene depicts the temple priests carrying the sacred boat of Khnum, the local god of Esna, while another shows an offering ceremony.
In this scene, the king’s kilt adorned with symbols representing Upper and Lower Egypt, emphasizing his role as the ruler of both regions.
