The discovery of A Ptolemaic head at Taposiris Magna of Alexandriahe

French archaeological mission at Taposiris Magna, located 45 km west of Alexandria, has uncovered a finely crafted marble head of a statue depicting an elderly man from the Ptolemaic Period.

The discovery was made among the ruins of a building believed to have held political significance during the 7th century AD.

The marble head showcases remarkable artistic precision and realistic details, reflecting the distinctive style that flourished during the late Hellenistic period.
