Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, congratulated artist Dr. Essam Mohamed Sayed Darwish, Professor of Sculpture at the Faculty of Art Education, on winning the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts, and Literature in the field of sculpture, as part of its twelfth edition for the year 2025, dedicated to Omani and Arab artists.

Dr. Kandil emphasized that this recognition reflects the distinguished status of the university’s artists and highlights their pioneering role in enriching the artistic and cultural movement both within Egypt and beyond.

He added that Dr. Darwish’s works embody creativity and authenticity, immortalizing figures from Egypt and the Arab world through remarkable sculptures that stand as lasting symbols of the greatness of Egyptian art.
